Deep Fishing Guide

All badges and rewards

Quick answer

Deep Fishing ships 13 badges: four first-rarity badges and nine catch milestones that climb from 50 fish to 500,000.

Deep Fishing ships thirteen badges. Four of them track first-time rarity catches, and nine are a straight catch-count ladder — which makes the badge list a decent progress bar for your account.

The rarity badges

<div class="tbl-wrap"> <table> <thead><tr><th>Badge</th><th>Official description</th><th>What it actually asks for</th></tr></thead> <tbody> <tr><td><strong>Welcome!</strong></td><td>You played Deep Fishing!</td><td>Join a server — you cannot miss it</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>First Legendary</strong></td><td>You caught your first Legendary!</td><td>Land a legendary-rarity fish</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>First Mythical</strong></td><td>You caught your first Mythical!</td><td>Land a mythical-rarity fish — a tier above legendary</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>First Secret</strong></td><td>You caught your first Secret!</td><td>Land a secret, the top tier</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>First Mutation</strong></td><td>You caught your first Mutated Fish!</td><td>Apply your first mutation to a fish</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </div>

The rarity badges are the cleanest proof of how the tiers work: Legendary, Mythical and Secret are three separate first-catch milestones, so the ladder is official rather than community shorthand.

The catch-count ladder

<div class="tbl-wrap"> <table> <thead><tr><th>Badge</th><th>Official description</th><th>Realistically reached by</th></tr></thead> <tbody> <tr><td><strong>50 Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 50 Fish!</td><td>Your first session</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>250 Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 250 Fishes!</td><td>A few hours in</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>1.000 Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 1.000 Fishes</td><td>Early progression, once casts hold multiple fish</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>10K Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 10K Fishes</td><td>Grinding with Capacity — the badge a long AFK run gets you</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>50K Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 50K Fishes</td><td>Repeat sessions; Capacity and auto-sell do the heavy lifting</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>100K Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 100K Fishes</td><td>Dedicated grinding, key farming sessions count too</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>250K Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 250K Fishes</td><td>Long-term accounts</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>500K Catches</strong></td><td>You caught 500K Fishes</td><td>The top rung of the ladder</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </div>

What the ladder is actually measuring

Catch counts reward volume of casts and hook size, not rarity. That is why the badge list and the money guide pull in the same direction: Capacity raises how many fish each hook holds, so it is simultaneously the comfort upgrade and the badge-progress upgrade. Players chasing 10K and up are usually running long AFK sessions with auto-sell enabled.

How to work through the list

  1. Ignore the ladder early. Your first hours should go to Strength, which is what makes late badges possible at all.
  2. Take the rarity badges as they come. Legendary, Mythical and Secret arrive naturally once you are fishing deep water with luck enchants.
  3. Take Mutations deliberately. First Mutation is the one badge you can force: buy a scroll and use it.
  4. Then let Capacity grind the count badges. With multi-fish hooks and auto-sell, catch counts climb on their own.
