Deep Fishing Guide

Deep Fishing FAQ

Quick answer

Deep Fishing is free to play on Roblox, runs 12-player servers, and pays out instant rewards for joining the official group rather than typing a code.

The questions players ask before they start, and the ones they ask once they are stuck. Short answers up top, detail underneath.

Quick answers

Is Deep Fishing free? Yes. Free to play on Roblox. Every core upgrade is bought with coins you earn in-game, and all nine gamepasses are optional.

Does Deep Fishing have codes? There is no code box in the game. Rewards are handed out for joining the official LazyGames. group and favouriting the experience, and they arrive immediately.

Why do sites list Deep Fishing codes then? Because "codes" is a searched phrase, and pages are published for it whether or not a code system exists. If someone is telling you to type a code into a box, they are describing a different game or a page that has not checked.

How many players per server? Twelve.

Do I need Robux to progress? No. The luck pass ladder, Double Coins and Auto Sell speed things up, but the upgrade loop is entirely coin-driven and the two temple rods are earned, not bought.

Getting started

What is the first thing I should buy? Strength. It is the only stat that opens new water, and new water is where every better fish lives.

Why does my cast keep falling short? Charge the cast fully before releasing, and put your coins into Strength rather than spreading them. Weight is a separate stat: it makes the cast sink deeper, not further.

Should I sell or keep my fish? Early on, sell. Later, keep the heavy ones for the pond and sell the rest. Fish sitting in your inventory earn nothing.

Is Bounce worth upgrading? Players running the current build say no, unanimously and repeatedly. Leave it until everything else is bought.

Systems players get stuck on

What is a mutation, in one line? A multiplier applied to a fish so it sells for more — and so it pays more per minute inside your pond.

Why does the game not show mutation multipliers? It simply does not publish them. The numbers on our mutations page come from players measuring the same fish before and after mutating.

How do I get a key? Equip the wooden rod, cast, and watch the depth bar. If no key appears, hit Stop and recast. Keys are fixed odds, so speed is the only lever you have.

Where are the temples? The sand key opens the desert temple in Dune Haven; the frozen key opens the frost temple in Frostmire. Both reward a rod once you place the offering fish.

What is the kraken for? It is a timed boss in deep water. Catching it gives you one consumption that sells everything at ten times value — save it for a big bag.

My pond stopped paying. Why? Starved fish. A revive prompt appears next to the equip-best button; each revive costs one heart.
