Deep Fishing Guide

Waters, depths and worlds

Quick answer

Depth is progression: further casts reach deeper water, deeper water holds rarer fish, and two later worlds (Dune Haven and Frostmire) gate the temples.

Deep Fishing's world is built around one idea: the further out and further down you cast, the better the water. Two later worlds exist purely to hide the temples, and both are reached on foot, not with a rod.

The two worlds that hold the temples

<div class="tbl-wrap"> <table> <thead><tr><th>World</th><th>What is there</th><th>What you need first</th></tr></thead> <tbody> <tr><td><strong>Dune Haven</strong> (desert)</td><td>The desert temple and its two-floor maze; the Chronus Rod unlock</td><td>Sand key farmed with the wooden rod</td></tr> <tr><td><strong>Frostmire</strong> (frost)</td><td>The frost temple — shorter run, harder offerings; the trillions-priced frost rod</td><td>Frozen key, plus named temple fish collected in advance</td></tr> </tbody> </table> </div>

Both worlds sit at the end of the same progression line: your cast has to reach the deeper water before the world is worth visiting, because the offering fish come from those pools.

How to move down a band

  1. Throw full-charge casts. A half-cast wastes the Strength you already bought.
  2. Watch where the bar stops. When it stops rising as you buy upgrades, that band is capped and the next one needs something else.
  3. Bank coins before travelling. Temple runs are long and you will want upgrades waiting when you get back.
  4. Fish the band you are in, not the band you want. A capped cast into the wrong water wastes time.

The creature in the deep water

The abyss is also where the kraken enters the game. It is a timed boss that appears on its own schedule rather than when you want it, and catching it gives you a one-time use that multiplies a whole session's selling. Plan a session around it if you can; otherwise treat it as a bonus that occasionally lands on a good bag of fish.
